The AirSpace Power Journal

About the Journal

The AirSpace Power Journal is published under the auspices of the Dubai International Air Chiefs Conference (DIACC), a leading international forum bringing together air chiefs and senior representatives from government, defence, academia and industry. Reflecting the growing interdependence of the air and space domains, the Journal provides a platform for informed discussion on the strategic, operational and technological developments shaping the future of air and space power.

Since its inception, DIACC has promoted dialogue, collaboration and mutual understanding among military leaders, policymakers and industry experts. As the strategic environment has evolved, its scope has expanded to address the increasing convergence of air and space capabilities and the implications for readiness, doctrine, decision-making and capability development.

The theme of this edition, “Smart Horizons: Redefining Defence Through Intelligent Autonomy,” examines how intelligent autonomous systems are reshaping air and space power. It considers the evolving relationship between human judgement and machine-enabled capabilities, alongside the operational, doctrinal, ethical and governance questions arising from their integration. Through forward-looking analysis and operationally grounded perspectives, the edition encourages senior leaders to consider how autonomy may influence command, strategy and decision-making over the next decade.

Extending DIACC’s mission beyond the biennial conference, The AirSpace Power Journal creates a platform for the continued exchange of ideas and perspectives across the international air and space community. Through contributions from military practitioners, policymakers, researchers and industry leaders, the Journal aims to challenge established thinking, encourage constructive debate and support a deeper understanding of the opportunities and challenges defining the future of air and space power.
